If you’re really lucky you may just catch sight of wild boar roaming the woods of The Forest of Dean. (Slightly different of course from those you might come across in your local pub!!!)
Beautiful majestic things they are – and at this time of year almost always accompanied by gangs of tiny little boars.
But visitors last week were lucky enough not to have to stray from our gate to get a taste of the great beasts – literally in fact – at our newly launched Boar Burger Bar!
It may sound mean but for the latest in our series of ‘random acts of gastronomy’ we managed to acquire a special consignment of the delicately flavoured and lightly textured beast all conveniently packaged into 40 burgers which we served with a green salad and a plate of our finest plate of hand cut chips.
If you gotta go then you might as well go in style!!
