Accessible Glamping Holidays in 2026

Accessible holidays matter here, and we get asked about wheelchair access a lot. We take it seriously, partly because we’ve seen how casually some places say ‘no’ when a simple ‘yes’ would do.

Over the years, we’ve hosted groups such as Access Adventures, which offer adventure breaks tailored to a range of needs and experience levels, including wheelchair users. The big lesson has been that good access is rarely about one magic feature. It’s about lots of small, sensible choices that add up to a stay that feels doable, not exhausting.

A few practical notes. The site is woodland, so the paths are gently undulating and laid with bark rather than smooth tarmac. With a bit of momentum and sometimes a helping hand, they can be navigable, but it’s fair to say it isn’t a flat, paved holiday park.

The main Lodge has level access from the entrance path onto the deck and into the bar area. We’re also addressing a long-standing gap by adding a step-free WC near the bar (just across from the entrance), which makes a real difference to how relaxed an evening can be.

Accommodation-wise, suitability varies by unit and by person. The Superdome is no longer part of the site, and it has been replaced by the Zero Zero Treehouse, which is reached via a rope bridge and is not designed as a wheelchair-friendly option. For wheelchair users, some of the domes remain workable with small adjustments, depending on layout, turning space, and individual requirements.

If you’re unsure, get in touch before booking and tell us what you need. We’d rather give you a straight answer than a hopeful one.If the Lodge Rooms have a ‘best one’, this is the obvious suspect. The Coal Store is a fabulous double with the ‘non-living wall’ for atmosphere and a few steps down to the Bath House, which is easily the standout bathroom on site.
