Soft toy squad!

In Burma, when the second world war ended it took a while – in a few cases, decades – for some of the soldiers, hidden deep in the jungles of Burma, to receive news that the war was over and to finally come out of hiding.

Something similar has obviously occurred over the last few weekends at the Dome Garden when this squad of unruly soft toys took cover somewhere in the undergrowth.

However, news that their tours of duty are now over has finally percolated through and they have all been rounded up, ready to be repatriated.

With the exception of the left hand spotty one, they are refusing to divulge any details of who they are or their unit’s recent activity – other than a few animal noises. So this is an appeal for further intelligence relating to their home regiments or the location of their garrisons.

Following episodes of this nature it is customary for the individual soldiers to suffer some disorientation, so they should be treated gently when they return to barracks and relatives should go easy on the hugging – it may take some time for them to re-acclimatise!
