Now then. Half term. What fun we have over the half term breaks.
Always busy and always a gang of kids racing around the footpaths in pursuit of some wonderful thing that we grown ups can’t possibly fathom.
Half terms have always been terribly popular – ever since we opened in fact. We think the Dome garden works best when it’s either very, very quiet with only a couple of families here or when it’s jam packed and full of life. (If the truth be told we also like it when there’s no-one here at all, with nothing but the owls to keep us company). So, if you want ‘busy’ then come at half term.
However, because we have to turn so many people away, we came up with the three day plan.
This means the ten days of the half term is split evenly into blocks of three days, with the tenth day thrown in for free because we are conscious that people want to get back and ready for going back to school.
Some years the private schools take their half terms the week before, which means we can accommodate lots more people across everyone’s half term. We don’t put the three day rule into place for that week, so if you want more days, that’s the time to come.
Either way we always really look forward to it – especially the Autumn half term, as Halloween normally falls right in the middle.
Whoooooh!!
