It’s not the same at the Dome Garden in winter.
It’s a lot quieter for a start.
Especially as, over the winter of 2012/13, we will only have 2 or possibly three domes open.
There’s less enthusisaim for dinner on the deck too. And the chickens have resolutely packed their bags and marched off for their winter vacation up the road in Clive’s very posh heated hen house.
But that’s not all. Nope. There’s that stuff The Forest is famous for. It gets in the way of the famous car rally almost every year and it sends council workers scampering off to thieir cars for some free holiday at the first sign of its arrival.
Yep. The Snow! But don’t be put off. If you’re liucky enough to be caught here then, just lob some more wood on the fire, zip up the doors and wheel out the chess boards!
